About my Project

Hi my name is Cassandra. For my Gold Award I will be sharing information and raising awareness about brain injuries. Although a wide variety of topics may be covered the main focuses of my project will be addressing concussion education and brain aneurysms. In doing so I will also share Maddie Potts story. My former soccer teammate who passed away in 2017 from a brain aneurysm.

What is a Gold Award?

The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award in Girl Scouts. Only 5.4% of eligible Girl Scouts receive this award. The award is earned by girls in 9th through 12th grade who demonstrate extraordinary leadership in developing sustainable solutions to local, national, and global challenges.
